Procurement Assistant

Mitrex, an Integrated solar and construction solution provider, is looking for an experienced, full-time Procurement Assistant to manage procurement in the office and purchase materials for office, factory, and project sites. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years of procurement experience in professional settings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and manage all activities during the purchasing process, such as preparing and processing purchase orders or purchase requests
  • Maintain inventory control and vendor information 
  • Follow up and update ETA/ETD of shipments, identify actual or potential delivery problems and take corrective action
  • Collaborate with the Accounting department to streamline purchase order placement
  • Source and build relations with current and new vendors
  • Identify cost savings within the current process and create a process for proper procurement
  • Assist in miscellaneous projects and requests as identified by Project Managers, Plant Manager, and/or CEO
  • Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as required

 

COMPETENCIES:

  • Professional experience in ordering/purchasing in professional settings
  • Experience in Inventory Management is considered an asset
  • Strong computer skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • High level of professionalism, exceptional customer service, and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to details
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, with minimal supervision
