Human Resources Assistant
Part-time

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Administrative Assistant provides support to the Human Resources Team in the provision of all services related to Recruitment, Labour Relations, Compensation/Benefit administration as well as fielding general inquiries from employees and management personnel. The successful candidate will be a team player who is committed to providing exceptional client service, with demonstrated knowledge of all Human Resource functions.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Successful completion or enrollment in Human Resources Management certificate program
or equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources, Administration.
- Two (2) years of related experience in a Human Resources environment, preferably in a health care setting
- Knowledge of the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and other employment legislation
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply collective agreements
- Previous experience working with HRIS or Payroll systems would be preferred
Competencies:
- Familiarity with policy/procedure formats and quality assurance programs
- Advanced computer skills with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong client focus
- Demonstrated ability to plan, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Working knowledge of computerized management information systems
- Ability to make sound judgments and decisions
- Working knowledge of benefit and pension administration
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to build reports and track statistical data
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard employee information
