Skyline Investments Inc. is an investment, asset management and development company that owns hotels and resorts in Canada and the United States and develops real estate on land surrounding its resorts.


Skyline Investments Inc. is seeking a Junior Accountant to join its team on a 1-year contract (maternity leave replacement) with the possibility of an extension to the contract or a conversion to a full time role with the company at the end of the contract term. Currently working remotely, with periodic visits to the head office as needed.


The Position:

Reporting to the Director, Development Finance the Junior Accountant duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Bank reconciliations
  • HST returns
  • Accounts receivable
  • Accounts payable
  • Journal entries
  • Entering contracts, change orders and purchase orders in accounting system
    • Monitoring approval process daily
  • Coordinating invoice approvals
  • Depositing cheques
  • CRA reporting as necessary
  • Reconciling corporate credit card statements



Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (outlook, word, excel)
  • Computer literacy and ability to use various applications
  • Organized
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Time management
  • Accounting experience (academic or on-the-job) preferred
  • Attained or working towards accounting designation (CGA or CPA) preferred
