The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an entry level Drafting Technician. This position will be based in the urban community of Boissevain Manitoba and will report directly to the Drafting Supervisor.

This is a full-time position. Consider joining this growing and successful company in producing wood laminated products for customers locally, throughout Canada, and the USA.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations.
• Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
• Complete documentation and produce shop drawing sets for the production of glue laminated structural timbers and connections for various construction projects.

Qualifications

• Drafting Trade Certification from a college/vocational or technical school, with AutoCAD is required.
• Experience using CAD work or equivalent 3D modeling software will be taken into consideration.
• Experience is an asset.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
