Dispatch and Sales Co-Ordinator

 

Position Summary

We’re looking for self-sufficient, motivated Dispatch and Sales Co-Ordinator for our Kamloops, BC location who wants to help us expand our fast-growing business.

The Dispatch and Sales Co-Ordinator is a support role and acts as a liaison to the Customer Service Representatives, Warehouse Dispatch team and the Warehouse Shipper/Receivers to ensure the smooth delivery of customer orders.

 

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge and assist all customers as required
  • Entry of orders received in person, via phone, fax, and email
  • Acknowledge receipt of customer orders
  • Check stock levels via Divalto
  • Utilize Samsara (dispatching software) to manage inbound/outbound freight
  • If necessary, transfer stock from other locations
  • Work with sales to Schedule/Coordinate truck shipments
  • Address any issues that come up during transit
  • Assist in resolving customer issues related to freight transportation
  • Audit/correct carrier freight invoices
  • Address and escalate issues when necessary
  • Verify customer delivery requirements are being met
  • Assist drivers/carriers throughout dispatch as needed

 

Requirements

  • 2+ years of applicable work experience in fleet coordination
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and preferably in Divalto
  • Able to work flexible hours from Monday to Friday, overtime may be required and must be available to work occasionally on weekends
  • Experience working in a construction or building materials environment would be an asset
