Architectural Design Representative

 

Mitrex, an Integrated solar and construction solution provider, is looking for an experienced, full-time, permanent Architectural Representative to represent our company in New York/Tri-State, USA.

The ideal candidate must be self-driven, highly motivated, and already possess experience in this area. Along with standard daily duties of engaging clients, driving sales, managing product specifications, and executing projects from start to finish, the ideal Architectural Representative candidate must also act as a company brand ambassador by possessing extensive knowledge of our brand and our products.

At Mitrex, we develop and manufacture solar construction materials for buildings and large structures (Mitrex.com). As the world's first manufacturer to develop customizable solar solutions, we are revolutionizing the construction industry, while helping to move the world toward clean, sustainable energy production. 

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within the architectural design industry. You will be expected to generate leads, make sales presentations, and close deals with clients. You will also be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a strong understanding of the architectural design process. You should be able to effectively communicate the value of our services to potential clients, and have the ability to adapt your sales approach to fit the needs of each client.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, plan and deliver regular product knowledge presentations with architects.
  • Provide periodic reports on client interactions, and other key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Communicate client/prospect product needs and concerns to appropriate departments, and facilitate solutions
  • Work on getting Specs and coordinate design assist process
  • Develop and maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects, ensuring regular communication
  • Pursue new and maintain existing accounts.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge and expertise regarding all company products and installation methods.
  • Pinpoint market opportunities with architectural and design community with the mindset to build lasting and meaningful relationships
  • Manage product specifications on projects
  • Work on special projects to exceed the development of a growing company

 

What You Offer

  • University / College Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the architectural design industry
  • Strong understanding of the architectural design process
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to generate leads and close deals
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Strong understanding of commercial specifications and architectural drawings.
  • minimum 3 years of experience in one or more of the following: construction sales, architectural rep
  • High drive, commitment, and energy.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs.
  • Approachability to build solid client and colleague relationships and reinforce the positive Mitrex culture
  • Able to work under pressure and multi-task. 
  • Must be results-driven and work well with a team
  • Must be able to learn new products and technical knowledge quickly
  • Must be able to develop solutions for clients based on product knowledge and customer needs
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • A strong communicator; willing to teach and share ideas with others. 
  • Must be willing to invest time toward self-improvement to achieve and surpass goals
  • Must have a professional appearance, demeanor, and be well-groomed
  • A passion for the industry, sustainability, and solar energy
